We think Sparky is a Border Collie mixed with Lab. Best of both worlds? We know he is special.

Sparky comes to us from a rural Texas rescue.

Colorado Herding Dog Rescue has taken him to an eye specialist and it turns out he has a genetic eye condition, corneal dystrophy —he can see fine and will continue to do so, but Sparky will need eye drops for the present moment and perhaps in future.

This 3 year old boy is super mellow. He wants to hang out with you and would make a great family dog.

Sparky is good with people and other dogs. Sparky has perfect house manners and loves to be right next to his person. He loves car rides.

Sparky is a very gentle boy who takes treats very softly. Don’t tell the other dogs but he has become a foster favorite.

He is 48 pounds, neutered, fully vetted and heartworm negative. CHDR will share all of his vet records, provide an additional bottle of his eye drops and offer a discounted adoption rate. Let’s help Sparky find his forever home.
